Ballet Bambini teacher

2016 will mark Shelley’s 15th year of dancing and 7th year at Lily’s Dance Studios. Since the age of 4, she has been training in the Cecchetti method and through the years picked up other styles such as jazz, tap and hip hop. Coming from a dancing family, Shelley has always loved her ballet, and around the age of 15, knew she wanted to push herself to one day become a ballet teacher. Shelley studied VCE Dance in high school and in 2012 began student teaching at Lily’s Dance Studios. Shelley will hold her first classes as a teacher this year and couldn’t be more excited. She successfully completed her Cecchetti Intermediate exam in 2015, and eager to continue, will begin her Associate training this year.

By day Shelley is the senior photographer at one of Victoria’s leading photography companies. A large majority of her year is spent photographing dancing competitions and dancing schools all over Melbourne, combining her two passions of dance and photography
